Wiedemann & Berg (Film & Television)
Wiedemann & Berg Film was founded in 2003 by Quirin Berg and Max Wiedemann. In 2024, Marcus Welke and Steffi Ackermann joined the management team. In 2010, Berg and Wiedemann also launched W&B Television, with Oliver Vogel joining the management team in 2021 and Benjamin Benedict in 2022. Since 2026, Dr. Lisa Giehl has served on the management teams of both Wiedemann & Berg Film and W&B Television. Since 2020, Wiedemann & Berg has been part of LEONINE Studios, one of Germany’s leading independent media companies and part of the Mediawan Group.
To date, the company has produced more than 170 films and series and has been recognized with numerous nominations and awards, including the Academy Award®, Bavarian Film Award, German Television Award, German Film Award, Grimme Prize, European Film Award, BAFTA, César, Romy, and Golden Globe.
Current feature projects include BIBI BLOCKSBERG – WITCHES UNITE!, THE METHOD, a timely thriller based on Juli Zeh’s bestselling novel and directed by Lena Stahl, and David Dietl’s comedy EIN MÜNCHNER IM HIMMEL. In addition to a wide range of productions for public and commercial broadcasters, Wiedemann & Berg also produces numerous projects for international streaming platforms. Current television projects include the period crime series LUDWIG for ARD, the Beatles biopic HAMBURG DAYS, and Season 2 of CROOKS for Netflix.
