Wiedemann & Berg (Film & Television)
Wiedemann & Berg Film was founded in 2003 by Quirin Berg and Max Wiedemann. In 2010, W&B Television was established. Both companies are part of LEONINE Studios, Germany’s leading independent media company, and part of the Mediawan Group. Quirin Berg and Max Wiedemann are both shareholders and co-founders of LEONINE Studios and manage LEONINE Studios’ entire fiction production as Chief Production Officers. Quirin Berg also holds the position of Chief Creative Officer for LEONINE Studios and is responsible for the creative direction of the group. In his role as Chief Business Development Officer, Max Wiedemann is also responsible for the development and integration of new business areas. As Head of Artificial Intelligence, Max Wiedemann also leads the global AI initiatives of the Mediawan Group.
To date, Wiedemann & Berg Film has produced over 170 multi-award-winning films, including the Oscar®-winning feature film THE LIVES OF OTHERS, the two-time Oscar®-nominated film NEVER LOOK AWAY, as well as numerous cinema hits such as WHO AM I – NO SYSTEM IS SAFE, WELCOME TO GERMANY, NIGHTLIFE, and WEEKEND REBELS. Current cinema productions include BIBI BLOCKSBERG – WITCHES UNITE!, CORPUS DELICTI, a highly topical thriller based on the bestseller by Juli Zeh and directed by Lena Stahl, as well as David Dietl’s comedy EIN MÜNCHNER IM HIMMEL, based on the cult short story by Ludwig Thoma.
In addition to numerous productions for public and private broadcasters, W&B Television’s broad production repertoire also includes a wide range of productions for international streaming providers. Current TV projects include the historical crime series LUDWIG for ARD, the Beatles biopic HAMBURG DAYS, and the second season of CROOKS for Netflix.
